I recently have a new found love – Black and White photos! It started with an impromptu black and white Taiwan Street Photography series. And couple of weeks back I started a series on European cities on Instagram. The idea was to create vintage type shots of a common city scene. Not particularly landmarks or sight seeing spots but just common, day to day scenes of the city in black and white. I really enjoyed this series. Let me know what you think.

And for you blog readers I am putting in one exclusive photo in this post, which is not on instagram. Yay! :D

Copenhagen cycle tour at the Amalienborg palace. The Danish royalty still live here and there is a change of guard ceremony and many other touches that feel very ‘English’. Last couple of pics of my #blackandwhite series on European cities.

Yvoire, French town on the shores of Lake Geneva. Sept 2015. Right out of a fairy tale book I thought. Wish we could visit the castle. Part of my #blackandwhite series on European cities. Love how some of these pics look so vintage.

Marielyst, a quaint seaside town with lots of great eateries. It is also right by an award winning beach stretch in Denmark. Shot from a watch tower in September 2015. Part of my ongoing #blackandwhite series of European cities.

The only pic I wanted to take in Zehdenik, Germany was of the public water tap. My second solo cycle ride and there had been no public water on the way. Funnily, the route was right by the river Havel. Maybe I should’ve scooped in for some (water) wasser! Despite best tap water standards, Germans typically drink bottled water. So generally you won’t find public water taps. Bummer. Part of my #blackandwhite photo series of European cities, September 2015.
