From my very cold Australian trip, here's a Camping podcast 🙂

New podcast after ages. Here’s how I learnt to use the sleeping bag and keep warm at 0°C on my Australia trip in the Spring of 2016. I wasn’t carrying any special gear for the cold – I expected it to be warmish pre-Summer weather, but it was cold post-Winter weather 😀

Having published this podcast, it’s possible that what I did with the sleeping is probably a known technique, but just that I had no idea because I have learnt to use my camping gear completely on my own – on my solo trips. With some basic briefing from knowledgeable store staff and travel friends on the road.

I haven’t actually camped with anyone, to be able to really discuss/understand how the various gear work. Well, all in an adventure. As they say what doesn’t kill, makes you stronger. 😀

Now with the COVID pandemic throwing up travel challenges, I am wondering whether to go on group hikes and treks. Sigh… the introvert in me really does not look forward to it! But with the right kind of group, I may learn a lot about outdoor survival and thriving techniques.

Where to Find Rudraksha Trees in India

I have a series of videos on growing the Rudraksha tree in our Indian homes (watch the video series here). As that series went on, I wondered if I could find Rudraksha trees nearby which I could visit (and maybe even get a sapling). That's when I found out that the...

Buying a Phone as per my travel style (remote working, cycle touring, adventure)

One evening in the winter of 2017, I found myself lost in an Andalucian national park. What would have helped a lot, or so I think, was a Compass on my phone. I usually have a compass app on my phone (as it helps me ensure I don't sleep with my head to the North, as...
